Keeping Us All Safe in Covid-19

At Fern Street Family Centre, we are committed to keeping you, your family and our team safe by doing all we can to prevent transmission of Covid-19.

Steps We are Taking:

You can read our full centre risk assessment here. We will regularly review the safety measures we are taking as new local and national guidance is released by the government.

The measures we are taking include:

  • More frequent cleaning, including frequent cleaning of surfaces, equipment and toys.
  • More frequent handwashing by everyone, including children
  • Allocating younger children who less able to socially distance to small groups or ‘bubbles’ and avoiding mixing of children from different bubbles.
  • Asking grown ups and young people aged over 12 to wear a mask and to physically distance from people who are not in their household within our centre.
  • Avoiding sharing of equipment where possible or cleaning or quarantining equipment between use by different bubbles or individuals
  • Keeping records of everyone who comes to our activities with up-to-date contact details so that you and your family can be quickly and easily contacted if someone you have been in close contact with tests positive for Covid-19.

Please DO NOT come to our activities if you or anyone in your household has symptoms of Covid-19 such as a persistant cough, fever or loss of taste or smell. You should self-isolate at home and book a test online at nhs.uk or by calling 119.

If you or someone in your household has visited our centre in the last 14 days and then developed symptoms of Covid-19, please call us to let us know as soon as possible so we can advise others.

We are so grateful for all your support so far. Together and with God’s help, we can look after each other and get through this time!
